Manual harvesting adds to the complexity and personality of the Cofrades vineyard. The type and length of aging is different for each vintage, using a combination of stainless steel and concrete tanks and aging in small and large oak barrels. Cofrades is one of the vineyards in the village of Leza. Planted in 1945 with a wonderful varietal and clonal blend, it is mainly Tempranillo, with co-plantings of Viura, Malvasia Riojana, Jaen, Mencia, Benedicto, Morate, Garnacha and Graciano. All varieties are harvested at the same time and vinified together to preserve the personality of Cofrades. Black cherries, blackberries, herbs and spices with hints of minerality. Its body is medium, as is its acidity. Go with game, spicy cold meats and recipes with lamb and pork.

This is a classic Rioja Reserva, showing the exceptional typicality of Rioja Alavesa's Tempranillo grape as well as the beautiful complexity acquired during traditional aging in small barriques for 24 months. Bright, medium ruby color with grenache highlights. On the nose, a core of wild berries is joined by spicy notes of tobacco, cedar and vanilla from barrel aging. Silky on the palate, showing freshness, complexity and a long finish, supported by fine, chalky tannins. This is an elegant, gastronomic wine that enhances great food without overpowering it. Accompany roasted meat, lamb, pork, poultry and mushroom recipes.

A young, juicy and versatile red wine that has not been aged in barrel, and is a modern interpretation of the tradition of Rioja Alavesa winegrowers. It features a series of six different labels with illustrations of real growers as a tribute to their daily work. It presents clear and intense primary aromas of dark cherries and black berries with a hint of violet and clove. Medium bodied, with remarkable complexity and concentration of fruit. The quality of the fruit stands out, showing the typical character of the cooler Rioja Alavesa climate, without being overshadowed by the excessive influence of the oak barrel. Intense fruit is balanced by fresh acidity, chiseled, chalky tannins and a long metallic finish. A serious, non-barrel-aged wine will benefit from 2 to 3 years in the cellar after release and will keep for another 5 years. It goes well with grilled meats, hard cheeses, pasta and rice dishes.

Created to contribute to a new generation of wines in Rioja. Produced from high-quality, low-yielding, small, old hillside plots (parcelas). Serious, light, oaky wine, it shows pure and primary aromas of dark and black berries with a hint of violet and clove. Medium body with remarkable complexity and concentration. The quality of the fruit shines through, displaying the typical character of the cooler Rioja Alavesa climate, without being overshadowed by excessive oak aging. Intense fruit is nicely balanced by fresh acidity, chiseled, savory tannins and a long metallic finish. Accompany tapas, chorizo, pork, lamb and dishes with tomato sauces such as lasagne and pizzas.

Tempranillo at an altitude of 500m from a vineyard with an average age of 50 years. Small production at 6,399 bottles. Bideona Villabuena shows precise and clean aromas of ripe blackcurrants and blackberries, fine tannins with an amazing flow on the palate, even when young. Pair with quality cuts of beef, game and recipes with pork or lamb. Acclaimed Jancis Robinson rated it 17.5 out of 20.

Andreas Kubach MW is one of the owners and responsible for Bideona wines. Rioja S4MG0 is produced from grapes at an altitude of 520-550m and aged 50 years. Production is at 9,494 bottles. Samaniego produces some of the most sought after Rioja Alavesa grapes. The wines are rich, powerfully framed with fresh acidity and firm yet velvety tannins. The fruit tends toward sour cherry but with mint present and a spicy complexity. The wines have the structure and depth to age beautifully for decades, but also show remarkable grace in their youth. Enjoy it with premium cuts of veal, game and braised recipes. Jancis Robinson rated it an amazing 17.5/20.

Laguardia is perhaps the most charming of the villages in the area. The plots are high, on average 440 m altitude, but with greater exposure to the Evros valley. Ripening tends to be the earliest among the villages and the wines are more elegant and aromatic. Laguardia is also the most approachable and gastronomic wine, due to its lighter, velvety tannins and juicy and juicy palate. The aromatic profile is always high, delicate and floral, reminiscent of wild strawberries and violets. Great wine to accompany charcuterie such as tsorithos, roast meats, pork and lamb. Jancis Robinson rated it a wonderful 17/20.

Produced exclusively from selected parcels in our 600-ha estate in Ucles (Castile, Spain) at elevation 750m as. The high-altitude vineyards are sustainably and organically farmed. An elegant and sophisticated wine showing the fruit intensity, purity of the aromas and acidity of the high-altitude vineyards. Deep garnet colour with powerful and complex aromas combining ripe berry notes with some cassis and a touch of bell pepper. The oak ageing offers hints of leather, spice and vanilla. Very round on the palate with a velvety texture, showing remarkable freshness and great persistence. Enjoy it with burgers, premium beef cuts and rich recipes!

Produced exclusively from selected plots in Ucles (Castile, Spain) at an altitude of 750 m. The high-altitude vineyards are sustainably and organically grown. An elegant and sophisticated wine that shows the intensity of the fruit, the purity of the aromas and the acidity of the high-altitude vineyards. A rich, juicy red wine, with a deep ruby color, strong and expressive aromas, which combine ripe berry notes with touches of pepper. Elegant, spicy notes of clove and vanilla due to the barrel in which it was aged. Full body on the palate, with remarkable freshness and length. Enjoy it with grilled meat!

Quinta de Quercus is located in the heart of Castile in Central Spain. Produced exclusively from Tempranillo and Syrah 30 years old at an altitude of 750-800m. Intense nose that combines expressive aromas of ripe blackberries, rosemary and thyme with the tertiary complexity of fine wood and notes of spices and cloves. A full-bodied wine, juicy, lively and fresh, showing great varietal precision and length. Good structure with silky, well-integrated tannins. Accompany barbecue, braised meats and charcuterie.
