Only classified terroirs are allowed to be called Grosses Gewachs. Weingut Carl Loewen is proud to have estates that meet these high standards: Laurentiuslay, Ritsch and Maximin Herrenberg. Ritsch offers ideal conditions for Grosses Gewachs. The concentration of ripeness, mineral aromas and playful elegance is outstanding. Importantly, the wine retains the elegant character of Moselriesling despite the enormous concentration of aromas. Ritsch is harvested at the end of the harvest to ensure ideal ripening of the grapes. A surprisingly fresh wine that is impressively concentrated. Incredible minerality, metallicity and with a very long aftertaste. It has great aging potential!

Planted in 1896, Maximin Herrenberg is one of the oldest Riesling vineyards in the world. Fascinated by that time, they wondered at Carl Loewen's winery how the wines are made. They wanted to know if these centuries-old approaches were as good as today's modern techniques, or maybe even better! The hand picked grapes are transferred to the grape vats using the traditional "Hotte". Here the grapes are immediately pressed and thus the maceration process starts directly. For this purpose they procured an old basket-press that operated with the same techniques as in 1896. The result is a wine that shows the strengths of Riesling in a perfect way. It is a unique statement of consistency in our fast moving world. Stuart Pigott awarded this wine 100 points for James Suckling. It has an extremely complex nose of lemon, exotic fruits and spicy aromas. Rich with nice acidity and very concentrated, the palate is creamy, slightly sweet and silky with a long mineral aftertaste.

Maximin Herrenberg's sharpest point is the origin of Carl Loewen's Grosses Gewachs. In this parcel the shale is harder and poorer. Extreme conditions for man and the vine. The iron content of the shale is so high, it makes the shale red. In 1902 this part of Maximin Herrenberg was planted. These very old authoritarian vines still stand today and give great potential to this complex wine. Maximin Herrenberg GG always offers extremely intense ripe fruit, like ripe pears. Also, aromas of wild herbs combine with the mouth which is salty with aromas of stone fruit and slate.

A Journey to Epanomi! Savor Domaine Florian Sauvignon Blanc 2020, a white wine from the Epanomi peninsula that brings the sea's freshness to your glass. Fermentation at low temperatures and 5 months of aging on fine lees (sur lie) give it depth and complexity while maintaining its vibrant character. With a pale lemon color and greenish hints, it offers a complex bouquet of passion fruit, pineapple, apricot, and notes of chamomile and chalk. The full-bodied palate mirrors the nose, leading to a long finish of exotic fruits. Serve ideally at 11-12C. It pairs perfectly with grilled fish, seafood risotto, and chicken with creamy sauce. Epanomi's Smoked Allure! Savor Domaine Florian Sauvignon Blanc Fume 2021, a white wine from the Epanomi peninsula that marries the Sauvignon Blanc variety with the sophistication of oak aging. After fermentation, it matures for 6 months in oak barrels on its lees, acquiring a complex and intriguing character. With a pale lemon color and golden highlights, it offers a rich bouquet of grapefruit, melon, and smoke. The palate is full-bodied, with balanced acidity and a pleasant buttery feel, leading to a long, spicy, and smoky finish. Serve ideally at 12-14C. It pairs perfectly with truffle dishes, smoked salmon, roasted chicken, and paella. Avoid overly acidic or sweet dishes. This wine invites you to a truly memorable tasting experience!

The Vineyard is located on the Epanomi peninsula, 500 meters from thecoastline. The harvest time is crucial for Chardonnay, since the berrieslose precious acidity during the ripening process. Therefore, theChardonnay was harvested in the first week of August to achieve a nicebalance of acidity, aroma and structure in the Wine. Only the best grapeswere selected for this wine, which is fermented in 300 ltr. oak barrels.After the fine racking it is kept an additional six months on the lees.Bright yellow with golden reflections. The nose is strongly aromatic withgreen apples, pineapples and a variety of flowers. The barrel vinificationis supplementing it with vanilla and balsamic notes which overall createsa wine with a highly interesting bouquet and an impressive body.Tropical Fruits and spicy, smoky vanilla notes linger for a long time inthe aftertaste. Try it with spicy shellfish, gratin, roast chicken or turkey.

Summer in a Glass! Domaine Florian Rondo Blanc 2019 is a dry, fresh, white wine made from the rare Malvazija grape, aged for 4 months on its lees to gain richness and character. Sourced from the vineyards of Epanomi, this wine brings the cool freshness of the Greek summer to your glass. With a pale golden color, it offers a vast array of aromas: green apple, lime, rose petals, and peach. The Harmony of Varieties! Domaine Florian Terzetto 2018 is a brilliant, dry white wine from the Epanomi peninsula. It's a perfect blend of Malagousia and Assyrtiko, where the two varieties are co-fermented to seamlessly integrate the rich aromas of Malagousia with the crisp acidity of Assyrtiko.With a vibrant green-to-yellow color, it has a complex bouquet of citrus, peach, melon, and hints of flint. The palate is full-bodied and well-balanced, with a long finish that reveals notes of almond blossom and hazelnut. Serve at 10-12C.
