To create this label, the spirits will mature for 15 years in white, American, oak ex-bourbon barrels and then 30% of them will go into Oloroso sherry casks for about 3 more years, while the remaining 70% will remain in ex-bourbon barrels. Then the spirits will get married and create this great label, the Glenmorangie 18 Year Old.

This label will mature into three types of barrels, American white oak barrels, ex-sherry barrels and new American oak barrels, thus acquiring its special characteristics.
