The name "Seiridh" (pronounced "sheh-ree") comes from the Scottish Gaelic for sherry, reflecting its finishing process in first-fill Oloroso sherry butts after initially aging in American oak Bourbon casks.

Tomintoul 14 Yeal Old comes from the Highlands of Scotland, one of the highest altitude villages, and the Tomintoul Distillery. The Tomintoul distillery was built in 1960 and has been producing high quality whiskey ever since. Another reason that has made the distillery famous, is that it managed to enter the guinness book, creating the largest whiskey bottle in the world, 105.3 liters.
