In the 1940s, Nikos Pilavas moved from Chios and went to Patras, while in 1950 the first distillery of the family will be opened. Having with him a classic, authentic recipe and knowledge, it does not take long for him to become known and thus to bring his son, Panagiotis, to Patras to introduce him to work, and together create the Ouzo Pilavas.
