Rose Wine

The term Scalunera, in Sicilian means ladder, and refers to the terraced vineyards located on the steep slopes of Mount Etna, which have been declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. Harvesting is done manually. And it gives us wine with a salmon color, characteristic of Nerello Mascalese grapes. Expressive nose of small red fruits with subtle notes reminiscent of ripe peaches and passion fruit. On the palate it is fresh, with a medium body and a long mineral aftertaste. Versatile at the table, it accompanies seafood appetizers, tuna tartare, pasta such as amatriciana and light barbecue.

Alfa Estate Rose (100% Xinomavro) is a lively rose wine (PGI Florina) from the "Chelones" & "Skantzochoiros" vineyards of Amyntaio (660-690 m. altitude). The short contact with the marc gives it its intense rose-saumon color and its aromatic expression. With a rich fruity nose, the mouth is full, oily, with excellent balance and freshness. Served at 12-14C. It goes ideally with stuffed meats, pasta with light red sauces, pizzas and exotic cuisines. Avoid very sweet desserts and excessively spicy dishes. A glass of joy that brings the flavors of Greece to the table!

In the glass there is a soft salmon color, with orange highlights. On the nose intense aromas of citrus peels, red fruits, flowers, with hints of apple and a hint of herbs to follow. In the mouth it has medium bodied, with high acidity and a pleasant fruity aftertaste. Try it and it will seduce you!

Afianes Icarus is a unique dry rose wine from Ikaria, made from the rare Fokiano grape. Its opaque, tile-like color with orange highlights promises a special experience. The nose is fruity and complex, with aromas of wild berries, watermelon, rose, and butterscotch. On the palate, it surprises with notes of white pepper, dried fruits, and herbs. Its body is balanced by a fresh acidity and high minerality, making it perfect for parties and large gatherings. It pairs wonderfully with seafood in red sauces, Asian, and Greek cuisine with sweet and sour flavors. Avoid pairing it with overly acidic or very spicy dishes. Serve it at 10-12°C in the summer and 16°C in the winter.
