Delicious aromas of wild strawberry, raspberry liquorice and dried oregano with a fragrant all spice lift. The fleshy, sweet-fruited palate boasts opulent tannins, notes of smoky French oak and a long juicy finish.
This concentrated fruit driven style of Pinot Noir will be the perfect accompaniment to your favourite white meat dishes. Try alongside roasted pork belly sitting on a bed of mashed potato, covered in peppercorn gravy. For a vegetarian option try blue cheese stuffed button mushrooms browned to perfection on the BBQ.
The Montepulciano d'Abruzzo grapes used for this wine are from a vineyard located in the beautiful Casauria Valley. The harvest is done by hand normally at the end of October. The wine is fermented for 15-20 days in oak barrels and also aged in oak barrels for at least 9 months. After bottling it remains in the cellar for at least 6 months.
It has a deep red color with purple highlights. Its aromatic panorama is broad, with floral rose aromas, fruity berry aromas - especially raspberry jam - and graphite in the background. In the mouth it is full, dynamic with nice tannins and freshness. Goes well with savory, well-seasoned dishes such as pasta with sliced meat, mushroom risotto, red meat and lamb.
