The name "Marne 180" recalls the type of land on which the vineyards were planted (marne) and their exposure from southwest to southeast expressed in degrees (180). This wine is obtained from grapes harvested in various vineyards located in the Valpolicella hills. The different origin of the varieties is important in order to obtain a well-balanced wine, with the good structure that only certain individual areas of Valpolicella can give.
Its color is intense ruby and as for the nose, they are left notes of vanilla and sweet fruits such as raisins, blueberries and cherries. Tastewise, it is a wine with a velvety and raisin character that, combined with its structure and typical elegant bitterness, maintains a good balance. It has a long and persistent flavor and is suitable for aging. Goes well with red meat grilled, roasted or stewed in rich sauces, game and aged cheeses.
