Red Wine

The Nikolou Sweet Dream Red Sweet label is created from the Grenache Rouge variety. The grapes of the variety are allowed to overripe and thus gave a juice rich in sugars and poor in acids.

Merlot Red Dry Nikolou is a red, dry, varietal wine, created exclusively from the Merlot variety. Grapes with phenolic ripening, in order to fully develop the variety, are selected and dried with the mildest mechanical treatment, while their extraction lasts 20 days and is done at 24°C. After the juice is separated, it is transferred to oak barrels to complete the alcoholic fermentation, in a controlled oxygenation environment and then the wine is transferred to a stabilization tank. Finally it is bottled and remains in the basement of the winery for 3 months in order to mature.

The Moraitis winery, in the area of Naoussa, in Paros, has been producing fine wines for several years. The Moraitis family in Paros vinified and combined the Aegean varieties Mandilaria and Vaftra and thus the Meltemi Red Dry wine is created.

The only zone of Protected Designation of Origin in which the mixing of red and white grapes is allowed for the production of red wines, is the PDO Paros. In the specific label of the Moraitis estate, the varieties Mandilaria and Monemvasia are the ones that will be carefully selected from the mountain vineyards, will be harmoniously combined and will create the Paros Red Dry.

Mountain vineyards from the areas of Lefkes and Thapsana, are strictly selected by the people of the Moraitis winery. The grapes of the Monemvasia variety will be carefully selected from them, to give us the Paros Barrel White Dry, which will be fermented in French oak, will undergo periodic stirring of the wine lees and then will remain in new French oak barrels for 5 months.

Strictly selected vineyards, over 80 years old, which will be carefully selected from the areas of Lefkes, Thapsana and Stavros, will give us the varieties Mandilaria and Monemvasia. At a rate of 75-25 they will combine harmoniously and create the Paros Reserve Red Dry.

A Merlot with an amazing value for money aged for 12 months in oak barrels. Aromatically you will distinguish ripe characters such as tomato paste, ink, blackberry jam and smoke. The taste is fruity with a sweet aftertaste. It accompanies wonderful dishes of greek cuisine such as stews, moussaka, rooster in red wine sauce, but also stews with minced meat and mushrooms.

Monolithos Red (PDO Nemea) is 100% Agiorgitiko, sourced from 40-year-old vines in the Tzitari and Kalyvia vineyards (450-500 m. elevation). Classic vinification highlights the rich regional character, resulting in a vibrant and balanced wine With a brilliant red color and purple reflections, it offers intense, complex aromas of black wild fruits. The palate is rich, crisp, featuring soft tannins and superb balance. Serve at 16-18C. It pairs perfectly with red/white meats, cured meats, grilled vegetables, and hard cheeses (Feta, Pecorino). Avoid fish/seafood and dishes with excessive lemon or acidic tomato. A wine that invites you to share a powerful story of Greek terroir!

Experience the magic of Nemea with KTIMA BAIRAKTARIS Red, a 100% Agiorgitiko from 50-year-old vineyards in Koutsi. This P.D.O. Nemea ages 16 months in new French oak barrels, offering a deep ruby color and perfectly balanced fruit and oak aromas. A full-bodied, harmonious wine that invites exploration, approachable for all wine lovers and essential for the professional. Serve at 16-18°C. Bairaktaris 3./13 (PDO Nemea) is a delightful semi-sweet red wine, 100% Agiorgitiko, made from sun-dried, overripe grapes from the Nemea plains. 12 months of aging in French oak barrels grants it a unique, smooth structure. Its deep purple color is matched by an intoxicating nose of bitter chocolate. The soft sweetness is beautifully complemented by mellow tannins, making it an ideal aperitif or dessert wine. Serve at 16-18C. It pairs perfectly with fruits and chocolate-based desserts. Avoid light seafood and sharp lemon sauces. This wine offers a warm, soulful way to end any gathering!
