Petit Verdot is a variety with a strong personality and enormous quality potential. It is best known for its presence in small proportion in the blends of the great wines of the Medoc. It needs sunshine and heat to fully ripen and is well adapted to the Douro to produce a varietal wine with an exuberant character.
Very concentrated and dense, this wine presents a deep red color. The nose is intense with aromas of black fruits such as blackberry, blackcurrant, spices, pepper and hints of cedar. In the mouth it is even richer and full of fruit. This is a wonderful, fresh, bright and fruity wine with good structure and acidity that will charm you!
Quinta do Noval Colheita is a rare Port produced in small quantities. This is a dated Port Tawny. Each Colheita takes its personality from the Quinta do Noval terroir and the vintage, like the Vintage Port, but is aged in barrels until bottling.
Quinta do Noval 2007 Colheita has a lovely amber color with more dark tawny core. It is very intense and concentrated on the nose and presents a harmonious and rich blend of aromas. Some citrus notes then appear in combination with their minerality and velvety texture, thus giving a very lively wine that will surprise you!
