The excellent combination of sweetness and peat is enhanced with a little more ripeness. The aromas are gently spicy and smoky, which is balanced in taste. In the mouth, a soft peaty smoke dominates and is accompanied by strong notes of spices. On the finish of Old Ballantruan Smokey Original Single Malt the sweetness climbs, which is gradually replaced by the depth of the smoke.
