Scalunera is a dark red wine produced from the Nerello Mascalese and Nerello Cappuccio varieties. It displays a rare aromatic profile, a blend of ripe, dry and pleasantly bitter sensations of red berries, cherries, yellow fruits, sandalwood, mushrooms and citrus aromas such as lemon peel. Tastewise, it has a medium body with firm tannins. This is an elegant wine that can easily be enjoyed on its own or paired with a huge variety of food such as braised, fatty fish, pork, lamb, cheese and vegetables such as aubergines and red peppers.

It is a mature and round red wine with intense rubies and violet hues. Aromas of plum, blueberry, cedar, chocolate, cherry and general red berries with spicy notes of white pepper immediately make their presence felt. In the mouth it develops harmoniously between the fruity sweetness and the salty freshness that possesses.
