Frequent rain, fog and the climate of the area, make Oban knead the best wheat in the area, with a special recipe, to create this malt. The spirits will mature in American oak barrels and ex-sherry barrels of European oak.

It was founded in 1843 in the Highlands of Scotland, with production starting in 1849 and is considered a pioneer in the technique of double maturation of whiskey, in barrels of sherry, port and wine. The spirits, which will be used to create this label, will be matured in ex-bourbon and new oak barrels. The label was named Glenmorangie Tarlogan after the Tarlogan Spring fountain, which has been the only water source for the distillery since 1843.

The story of its special emblem began in 1263, when Colin Of Kintail, leader of the Mackenzie Clan, rescued the King of Scotland, Alexander III, by killing a stag that attacked him. As a reward, the king gave the Colin of Kintail the emblem of the stag with 12 horns, an emblem that adorns the bottle to this day.

It is the northernmost distillery in the world and one of the few that uses traditional, handmade malting threshing floors to make its spirits. The label was named after Einar, who was once the ruler of the Orkney Islands and matures in American and European oak barrels.
