Afianes Icarus is a distinguished dry red wine from Ikaria, aged in French oak barrels. Its deep, fiery ruby color hints at a powerful wine experience. The nose is complex, full of aromas of ripe wild red berries and warm notes from the French oak. On the palate, it is rich, with soft tannins and a flavorful climax that brings to the forefront notes of sour cherry and blackberry. The finish is smooth and long-lasting. Ideal for barbecues and nights with friends, it pairs excellently with fatty and spicy cheeses, grilled meats, wild boar or spit-roasted lamb, entrecote, and beef fillet with spicy red sauces. Serve it at 16-18°C.
