Afianes Icarus is a unique dry rose wine from Ikaria, made from the rare Fokiano grape. Its opaque, tile-like color with orange highlights promises a special experience. The nose is fruity and complex, with aromas of wild berries, watermelon, rose, and butterscotch. On the palate, it surprises with notes of white pepper, dried fruits, and herbs. Its body is balanced by a fresh acidity and high minerality, making it perfect for parties and large gatherings. It pairs wonderfully with seafood in red sauces, Asian, and Greek cuisine with sweet and sour flavors. Avoid pairing it with overly acidic or very spicy dishes.
