Hayman's Old Tom Gin was introduced to us in November 2007 and is a modern reissue of the original family recipe, which dates back to 1860. Old Tom Gin was famous in the 18th century, because due to the old distillation techniques, it needed something to cover the imperfections of the taste of the distillate and so they added sugar.

The aromas of Hayman's Old Tom Gin are full of fresh juniper and notes of orange. In the taste the juniper will dominate, with notes of spices accompanying it and notes of sugar appearing often, giving a feeling of sweetness, while its aftertaste is dry and spicy, with the black pepper clearly excelling.
