Manual harvesting adds to the complexity and personality of the Cofrades vineyard. The type and length of aging is different for each vintage, using a combination of stainless steel and concrete tanks and aging in small and large oak barrels. Cofrades is one of the vineyards in the village of Leza. Planted in 1945 with a wonderful varietal and clonal blend, it is mainly Tempranillo, with co-plantings of Viura, Malvasia Riojana, Jaen, Mencia, Benedicto, Morate, Garnacha and Graciano. All varieties are harvested at the same time and vinified together to preserve the personality of Cofrades. Black cherries, blackberries, herbs and spices with hints of minerality. Its body is medium, as is its acidity. Go with game, spicy cold meats and recipes with lamb and pork.

Bideona is a winery in the heart of Rioja Alavesa. Established in 2018. It offers wines from single vineyards that display the freshness, elegance and depth of flavor that we believe distinguish the great wines of Rioja Alavesa. They cultivate over 300 plots of land with excellent vineyards on the slopes of the Sierra Cantabria, mainly in the villages of Villabuena de Alava, Leza, Samaniego, Laguardia, Navaridas and Banos del Ebro. The average age of the vineyards is 50 years and many were planted in the 1920s, 30s, 40s.
