Benriach 12 Year Old is an amazing malt whiskey, which comes to us from Speyside, Scotland and the Benriach distillery. John Duff was the founder of the distillery, between Rothes and Elgin, in the heart of Speyside, in 1898, but it closed two years later and did not reopen until 1965, when it was purchased by Glenlivet. Benriach's first official label was released in 1994 and was a 10 year old label.

The spirits used to make the Benriach 12 Year Old have matured for at least 12 years in ex-sherry barrels, ex-bourbon barrels and port pipes. Then with the knowledge and love of the people of the distillery, they marry harmoniously and give us this wonderful label.

Aromas of dark chocolate, berries and orange are the ones that will immediately stand out at Benriach 12 Year Old, accompanied by notes of spices. In taste, cereals, apples, chocolate and peanuts are the ones that will dominate, accompanied by notes of mocha and spices, leading us to a long and persistent aftertaste with honey, mocha and fruit to stand out and occupy our palate for quite long.
