Balvenie 17 Year Old Doublewood 0,7L

Balvenie 17 Year Old Doublewood was introduced to us in 2012 and is another creation of Malt Master David Stewart, who uses for his production his own inspirational process, which he conceived and implemented in 1982. It is the same process by which he creates and Balvenie 12 Year Old Doublewood. Whiskeys mature for at least 17 years in oak and ex-bourbon barrels before being transferred for 9 months to ex-sherry Spanish barrels. Then they all go together in large pots or tuns as they are called for 4 months. There, the flavors and aromas of all the barrels will be married before they are bottled so that this excellent single malt whiskey will come to us.
