The vineyard is located on the slope of a beautiful hill and on a plateau where the soil is sandy and clayey with pebbles. Varietal blend 60% Black Grenache, 30% Syrah, 10% Mourvedre. This Tavel is an aromatic fruity rose with a ruby color, complex and elegant. Notes of cherry, watermelon, crushed strawberries, peach and rose petals. In the mouth it has a medium to full body, concentrated and very tasty. Enjoy it now and in 5 years. Go with poultry, pork, roasted and/or spicy turkey, sushi, seafood and grilled fish, Asian foods.
The harvest of this wine is done by hand. Aged in tanks (grenache) and oak barrels (syrah and mourvedre). It has a deep and bright purple-red color as well as an exciting nose with aromas of black fruits, spices and vanilla. This great aromatic complexity is also found on the palate: spices and ripe fruit emerge with elegance and harmonious tannins. The aftertaste has good aromatic length where a touch of licorice and pepper is discernible. It is a wonderful Chateauneuf du Pape with great concentration and finesse. Enjoy it between 2 and 20 years. It is better to be transfused if it is young -under 5 years old-. Accompany cooked red meats, poultry and game.
This wine has a deep and intense red color and aromas of fresh black fruits and roasted herbs. In the mouth, the richness of the tannins harmonizes with the smoothness of the wine. The finish is long, with aromas of spices and licorice. Drink it between 1 and 10 years. It will go very well with red meats, roast lamb, duck, tuna carpaccio, grilled lobster and cheeses.
"La Fontaine" is a perfect area to produce the wonderful white Chateauneuf du Pape. The plots have a clay/sand and limestone texture and face north. This terroir allows Roussane to mature very well and also retain a wonderful level of freshness. Diverse composition of 100% Roussane. Color yellow-gold. The nose is rich in aromas of citrus fruits, tropical fruits, quince and honey, with a hint of vanilla. On the palate, the same aromas appear together with a fatness that combines exotic fruits and vanilla.
"La Fontaine" is often regarded as one of the best white Chateauneuf du Pape and is by definition an excellent wine for gastronomy. Enjoy between 1 and 8 years with fish dishes in sauce or foie gras, white meat and cheeses.
The harvest of this particular wine is done manually. The wine has an intense dark ruby color and develops aromas of ripe black fruits such as raspberry, cherry and spices. In the mouth we have the presence of tannins, in high quantity and elegance, while its finish is long and luxurious. This is an expression of Chateauneuf du Pape, showing all the characteristics of the terroir. Accompany roast beef, duck, a burger or even roasted mushrooms.
This wine has an inky purple color and a wonderful aroma of black fruit, charcoal and graphite, as well as blackberry and a sweet note of dates. The palate has excellent fruit. Its tannins are lively and it has a delicious finish, where tar and charcoal are easily discernible. This wine has incredible aging potential and will benefit from your patience. We advise a consumption between 3 and 30 years after the harvest. Accompany roast pork, veal, lamb and mushroom recipes. It is better to be transfused if it is young, up to 5-6 years.
