Quinta do Noval Colheita is a rare Port produced in small quantities. This is a dated Port Tawny. Each Colheita takes its personality from the Quinta do Noval terroir and the vintage, like the Vintage Port, but is aged in barrels until bottling.
Quinta do Noval 2007 Colheita has a lovely amber color with more dark tawny core. It is very intense and concentrated on the nose and presents a harmonious and rich blend of aromas. Some citrus notes then appear in combination with their minerality and velvety texture, thus giving a very lively wine that will surprise you!
Rich aromatic notes of red cherry, clove and anise are framed by toasted oak and herbs. Layers of complexity abound from all these generous aromatic elements and reveal to us a Pinot Noir of great power and persistence. Deeply concentrated red berries define the palate.
Density, a sense of oak, fine tannins and crisp acidity combine to create a long and complex finish. Enjoy The Journey Pinot Noir with Beef Wellington served with roasted winter vegetables.
"La Fontaine" is a perfect area to produce the wonderful white Chateauneuf du Pape. The plots have a clay/sand and limestone texture and face north. This terroir allows Roussane to mature very well and also retain a wonderful level of freshness. Diverse composition of 100% Roussane. Color yellow-gold. The nose is rich in aromas of citrus fruits, tropical fruits, quince and honey, with a hint of vanilla. On the palate, the same aromas appear together with a fatness that combines exotic fruits and vanilla.
"La Fontaine" is often regarded as one of the best white Chateauneuf du Pape and is by definition an excellent wine for gastronomy. Enjoy between 1 and 8 years with fish dishes in sauce or foie gras, white meat and cheeses.
