Bocatheva Barbados & Jamaica was created from the experience in the spirit world of BBC Spirit. After spending two years traveling the world testing more than 400 wonderful barrel samples, BBC Spirit partnered with Master Blender, to select 20 barrels from the Caribbean's most famous distilleries. Bocatheva Barbados & Jamaica is the first bottling of the Bocatheva series.

From the Casa Botran distillery and with the raw material of the syrup from fresh cane juice, we get the Botran 15 Year Old Solera Reserva. The syrup will be fermented for 48 hours, before going through the distillation process. It will then be matured with the solera method in the mountains of Guatemala, using ex-bourbon oak barrels and barrels of white oak, which previously contained sherry and port wines.

It was introduced to us in 1980, and two decades later it was awarded the distinction of the best rum in the world and in fact with the highest score in the history of the Testing Institute of Chicago. It is a not so famous rum unfortunately, despite the fact that it is very good.
