It was founded in 1843 in the Highlands of Scotland, with production starting in 1849 and is considered a pioneer in the technique of double maturation of whiskey, in barrels of sherry, port and wine. The spirits, which will be used to create this label, will mature for at least 12 years in American ex-bourbon barrels and hand-picked Oloroso Sherry Casks.
