Caol Ila 12 Year Old was introduced to us in June 2002, by Caol Ila Distillery, which is perhaps the largest and most famous distillery on the island of Islay. The distillery was founded in 1846 and is located in a hidden cove near Port Askaig on the island of Islay. The site was originally chosen for the clear water of Loch Nam Ban Lake, which is still the main source of water today.

Prohibido 22 Years is a more mature and complex expression from the Prohibido range in Mexico, inspired by the tradition of spirits aged in sweet wine casks.
