It was founded in 1974 and since then until today it operates continuously, in the shadow of the imposing rock, in the center of the city. Frequent rain, fog and the climate of the area, make Oban knead the best wheat in the area, with a special recipe, to create this malt. The spirits will mature in American oak barrels and ex-sherry barrels of European oak.

It was founded in 1843 in the Highlands of Scotland, with production starting in 1849 and is considered a pioneer in the technique of double maturation of whiskey, in barrels of sherry, port and wine. The spirits, which will be used to create this label, will be matured in ex-bourbon and new oak barrels. The label was named Glenmorangie Tarlogan after the Tarlogan Spring fountain, which has been the only water source for the distillery since 1843.
