"Heiligenstein" is the best known and most traditional Riesling vineyard in Lower Austria's Kamptal and was the first in the region to be mentioned by name and recorded on maps. Austrian traditional wineries classify it as "Prime Site".
This wine is aged for 10 months on the lees in 600 liter wooden barrels and another 10 months on the fine lees in large wooden barrels before being bottled unfiltered. It has a rich, golden yellow color, aromas of candied fruit, dried apricots and nectarines. This is a wine with an extremely rich body and structure, very tasty, with balanced acidity, which is an excellent accompaniment to spicy dishes and curry recipes.
Restrained and mystical on the nose, typical Kaferberg. Complex and well structured on the palate, with plenty of spice and intensity. Aromatically, it has good intensity and concentration, while in the mouth it is warm, elegant and spicy until the end. You can enjoy it now but it also has excellent aging potential. It's worth the wait to enjoy it! Go fearlessly with boiled beef or a hearty grilled tuna steak.

This is a wine that matures in oak barrels for 11 months on the lees and after desalination for another 8 months on fine lees. Finally, it is bottled unfiltered. It has an oily golden yellow color with green highlights. The nose shows yellow apples, ripe pears and dried fruits. It is a dense wine with a full body in the mouth and a silky texture. Mouth aromas reminiscent of apricot and lemon jelly, subtle earthy notes and smoke. Come along and enjoy it with Asian food!
