The label got its name from the characteristic design that decorates most bottles of the distillery, while barley of the Chocolate Barley and Cadboll varieties will be used as raw material.

The label was named Glenmorangie Tarlogan after the Tarlogan Spring fountain, which has been the only water source for the distillery since 1843.
