The Teeling brothers opened a new distillery very close to the old one in 2014 and immediately succeeded in bringing Teeling back to its previous levels. Teeling Blackpitts is named after the Blackpitts region, which is known for its malt. It will be matured in a combination of ex-bourbon and Sauternes casks, which combined with the triple distillation, will provide a balance between sweetness and peat.
